Meet Wayne Nagel

Wayne Nagel believes strong communities are built on trust, communication, and leadership that shows up every day. Throughout his career in public service, business, and emergency response, he has dedicated himself to protecting and serving the people of Southern Minnesota.
 
As a Police Officer for the City of Henderson, MN, Wayne works to build relationships with residents while helping keep communities safe. As the Principal Owner of Nagel Companies, he understands the importance of leadership, accountability, and making sound decisions that serve people well.
 
Wayne’s commitment to public service extends beyond law enforcement. He proudly served as an EMT with the Belle Plaine Ambulance Service for ten years (1997–2007), responding to emergencies and helping neighbors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. That experience reinforced his belief that effective public safety depends on preparation, teamwork, compassion, and decisive leadership.
 
 
 
 
 
His vision for the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office is built around supporting deputies, expanding training opportunities, strengthening partnerships with local police departments, and building lasting relationships with residents throughout the county. Wayne is focused on practical, common-sense solutions that improve public safety while keeping the Sheriff’s Office accountable, professional, and community-driven.
